The Mount Clare Fire Department is an all volunteer organization. Without an active membership it would be impossible for us to provide emergency services to the communities we serve. The Mount Clare Fire Department is constantly looking for individuals that are interested in making a difference in the community. With the high demand for volunteer firefighters across the state, there is no experience or training required as it will be offered once you are a member.
To join you must be a citizen and at least 14 years of age and willing to donate your time in making a difference in your community. Applications are available by stopping by the fire department and speaking with an officer. All applications are presented to the general membership at our monthly meeting and discussed, if approved you are placed on 180 day probation period where you are introduced the fire department and permitted to participate in department activities. All active members are expected to participate in monthly meetings, drills, and work details.
